Friday, Aug. 29

Goddard Park Farmers Market: Among the vendors at the Goddard Park market, several farmers, bakers (for both humans and dogs!), crafts, fish and poultry. Fridays through Oct. 31. 375 Ives Road. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Summer’s End: It’s the 19th annual Summer’s End concert at Eldredge Field, with the Navy Band. Gates open at 5 p.m. Free, but donations are encouraged. No pets allowed and no unattended bags – that includes early drop offs. Here’s the schedule:

5:00 p.m. Gates open

5:30 p.m. Official kick off

5:45 p.m. East Greenwich High School Jazz Band

6:30 p.m. Generations

7:15 p.m. Children’s Parade

7:50 p.m. Presentation of the Varnum Continentals

8:00 p.m. National Anthem and US Navy Band
