Tuesday, May 13

EGHS Sailing Team fundraiser: The high school’s sailing team does not receive funding from the school department so it relies on fundraising to help cover costs. You can help – come to Nautika Tuesday night. Pay $20 at the door and receive a coupon that entitles you to a beer or wine of the restaurant’s choice and Appetizers will be served. 28 Water St., from 4 to 6 p.m.

School Committee: A  Strategic Planning Workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, May 13th at 5:45p.m. in the Cole library.  All are welcome to attend.  See the attached agenda.

Lobster Roll Sale – last day to order: The Westminster Unitarian Church’s annual rite of spring – the lobster roll sale – is going on now. Lobster Roll Day is Friday, May 16, but you have to order by Tuesday, May 13. Each roll is $9.50 and includes a bag of potato chips. To order or get more information, check out the WU website here.

Wednesday, May 14

Board of Assessors meeting: On the agenda, the panel will be reviewing the voter rolls for the Financial Town Meeting June 10. At Town Hall, 3:30 p.m.

EG Free Library Board of Trustees meeting: Here’s the agenda. At the library, 4 p.m.

Calling for ‘Challenger’ buddies: The EG Little League has established its first-ever Challenger baseball team for children with special needs and the league is looking for a few more buddies (non-disabled youths) to help out. You will be helping athletes with special needs enjoy the game of baseball. If you child is interested in helping out, there’s a meeting at Cragan Fieldhouse at 8:30 p.m. (the field is on Reilly Avenue off 4th Street past OLM Church). Question? Thursday, May 15

Citizens Who Care meeting: All are welcome & encouraged to attend. We will be discussing the upcoming prom/graduation, mental health awareness month & ideas for the next school year. EGPD Community Room. will be at 10 a.m.

Goddard Park Farmers Market: The farmers market at Goddard Park is open for the season (through Halloween). Here’s more information about the market and vendors. Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Prom!

Teen Center: The gymnasium at Eldredge Elementary is open most every Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. for teenagers looking to shoot some hoops or some bull. All are welcome. To learn more, check out the F.A.C.E.S. website here.
