Frenchtown Road Closed Thursday PM into Friday

by | Oct 23, 2019

Sorry, Frenchtown folks. It’s happening again.

Frenchtown Road will be closed Thursday from 7 p.m. until 4 p.m. Friday, for continued work on the water main there. Immediate residents will be allowed access but everyone else will have to detour via South Road or Middle Road. The road will reopen as soon as work is complete.

During the time the road is closed, that section of Frenchtown Road will only be accessible to residents living in the houses along that stretch. The actual water main work will take place between 874 and 875 Frenchtown Road. Those living between 874 Frenchtown and South County Trail will be able to access their house from the South Council Trail side. Residents of 875 Frenchtown and higher numbers will be able to access their homes from the west side of Frenchtown Road.

Here’s a map of the area, below, with detours marked. Any questions may be directed to Lt. Clement at the East Greenwich Police Dept. (401-884-2244).
