There have been four house breaks on the west side of East Greenwich in the past two weeks, three that appear to be related, Det. Lt. Jeremy Fague said in a press release Tuesday, and one that may be related to a home invasion in Coventry.

The break ins have been at houses on Waterford Drive, Juniper Drive, Shady Hill Drive, and Princess Pine. The Waterford Drive break in is the one police say may have been carried out by the same man, Joseph Cevoli of West Warwick, accused of breaking into a pregnant woman’s Coventry home and punching her in the face.

Cevoli was arrested last week in connection to the Coventry break. He has not been charged with the Waterford Drive break in.

The break ins on Juniper, Shady Hill and Princess Pine all took place between 8 and 10 p.m. Each house was unoccupied at the time of the break in and, in the breaks on Shady Hill and Princess Pine, a ladder belonging to the homeowner was used to reach the second floor.

Surveillance video showed three unknown suspects who are dressed similarly and are wearing masks and gloves. They used flashlights.

At the house on Shady Hill Drive, it appears the suspect or suspects tried to dislodge a safe bolted to the floor. Otherwise, it appears the suspects were after jewelry.

The police are asking residents to be aware of their surroundings, make sure doors and windows are locked, and report any suspicious activity. Any information and/or suspicious activity can be reported by calling 884-2244, or 911 if there’s an emergency.
