Students at Meadowbrook Farms left Principal Neil Marcaccio stranded and quite stuck Friday, March 6. He was held fast by yards and yards of brightly colored duct tape.

The honor of taping their principal to a wall was given to those students who logged at least 100 minutes of reading during Reading Week. Each reader was given a piece of duct tape and many earned more than one piece.

Marcaccio hung on the wall for 2 ½ hours, first with his feet on a stool, but eventually just held up by all that tape.

“This event was the pinnacle of a series of fun Dr. Seuss-themed activities throughout our school’s Reading Week which took place March 2-6,” said Reading Week Co-Chair and PTG Board Member Jennifer Madden. “Other fun activities included a Classroom Door Decorating contest, Reading Train, Dr. Seuss costume parades, and Craft Day, to name a few. “
