Janet C. Lofgren, 81, passed away December 19. She was the wife of the late Walter O. Lofgren, Jr. Born in Wickford she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Ruth (Lovely) Sherman.

Mrs. Lofgren was an administrative assistant at Brown & Sharpe for many years and had also worked at East Greenwich High School in the cafeteria. She was an avid New England sports fan and enjoyed playing softball and bowling. She was a Cub Scout den mother and also helped her husband, Walter, coach EG Little League. She is survived by two sons, David S. and Eric S. Lofgren, six grandchildren and was the sister of the late Lloyd J. Sherman, Sr.

Funeral service Tuesday, Dec. 23, at 10 a.m. at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Division St., East Greenwich. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, East Greenwich. Calling hours are Monday, Dec. 22, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Janet’s memory to a charity of ones choice.
