Jacob “Jake” Kornwitz, of Deerfield Dr., died unexpectedly Saturday, October 25, at home. The beloved son of Dr. Norman and Risa (Guttman) Kornwitz, he was a lifelong Rhode Island resident.

Jake was a graduate of Skidmore College, Class of ’13 and was attending URI. Dear brother of Jenna Yosefa Kornwitz of Austin, Texas. Loving grandson of Arlene Guttman of East Greenwich and Framingham, Mass., and the late Alfred Guttman and Jacob and Rose Kornwitz. He loved his pet labradoodle, Ziggy.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the ASPCA, 186 Amaral St., Riverside, R.I. 02915.  Funeral services were private.
