EG Students Make Fall 2014 Dean’s List, Part 1

dean's listHere are some East Greenwich students who have been named to the Dean’s List at their college or university for the fall 2014 semester.

Daniel Fried, accountancy major, has earned placement on the Dean’s List at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) for the 2014 Fall semester. To achieve this honor, a student must carry 12 or more credits that semester and have a 3.5 grade point average or above.

Alexander Krauss earned a spot on the Dean’s List at Hofstra University, which requires a GPA of at least 3.5.

The following students have been named to the Dean’s List at the University of New Hampshire for the fall semester of the 2014-15 academic year: Sarah Figgins (honors), Julia Pelosi (high honors), Michelle Riggs (honors), Melanie Rosen (high honors), Callie Russo earned (honors), and Cassidy Collins (honors). Highest honors are awarded to students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.85 or better out of a possible 4.0. Students with a 3.65 to 3.84 average are awarded high honors and students whose grade point average is 3.5 through 3.64 are awarded honors.

Anne Keithline, majoring in English, was named to the dean’s list at University of Massachusetts Lowell. To qualify for the dean’s list at UMass Lowell, a student must have completed no fewer than 12 graded credits for the semester and earned at least a 3.25 grade point average with no grade lower than C and no incompletes.

The following students have been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2014 semester at the University of Vermont: Marina Buffum is a sophomore  undeclared major, Mary O’Toole is a sophomore Film and Television Studies major, Eleanor Bodell-Kudla is a first-year student English major. To be named to the dean’s list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.

Laura McGuire, a member of the class of 2018, has been named to Assumption College’s Dean’s List. To earn a spot on the Dean’s List, Assumption students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 for a five-class, 15-credit semester.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) has announced that Thomas Buonomano, a junior majoring in electrical and computer engineering, was named to the university’s Dean’s List for academic excellence for the fall 2014 semester.

Andrea Wollin, a exploratory major in the School of Humanities and Sciences at Ithaca College, was named to Dean’s List for the fall 2014 semester.

The following students have achieved Dean’s List status New England Institute of Technology: Jonathan Contreras, Erin Gardner, Samantha Gauvin, Beau Guidry, William Hathaway III, Matthew Horgan, Danielle Hubbard, Cameron MacIntosh, Michael Napoleoni, Codie Picard, Tre’Von Scott, Emily Silverman, and Saskiah Vargas-Walton.

The following Wake Forest University students have been named to the university’s Dean’s List: Courtney Kalk, Taylor McCann, Katherine Roberts, Zachary Searle, and Wenbo Sun. Students who achieve a 3.4 grade point average and no grade below a “C” were named to the list.

Max Bender has been named to Marist College’s Dean’s List. Bender is a member of the Class of 2017 and is majoring in Computer Science.

Emerson College student Jacqueline DeFusco has been named to the school’s Dean’s List. DeFusco is majoring in Communication Studies. The requirement to make Emerson’s Dean’s List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher.

These students have been named to the University of Delaware Dean’s List: Julie Harlam, Marielle Kraft, Victoria Messier, and Kerri Whelan.
