Thursday, July 24

Board of Canvassers meeting: The panel will meet to select poll workers for the Sept. 9 primary. Town Hall, Conference Room B, 2 p.m.

Pre-concert BBQ: St. Luke’s invites you to enjoy a BBQ dinner before the concert at Academy Field (see below). It’s free and all are welcome. 5 to 6:30 p.m.

Mac Chrupcala Orchestra @ Academy: Come on down to the Academy Field for this week’s summer concert performance. The East Greenwich Parks & Recreation Dept. features the Mac Chrupcala Orchestra for dance music and jazz. 6:30 to 8 p.m. (If it rains, the concert is held in Swift Community Center.)

  • Mystique at Nautika, 8 p.m.
  • DJ at Finn’s Harborside, inside and outside
  • Sugar Babies at Chelo’s on the Water, 6 p.m.
  • World Premier at BLU on the Water, 8 p.m.

Friday, July 25

Goddard Park Farmers Market: The farmers market at Goddard Park is open through Halloween and offers a wide variety of products. Here’s more information about the market and vendors. Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Nappy’s Shadow Puppet Show at EGHS: Every Friday during July and into August, EG Parks & Rec presents a show for children and their lucky adults. It’s free and all are welcome. Today is a performance by Nappy’s Shadow Puppets, from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. in the auditorium at EGHS.

Saturday, July 26

Yard Sale: Toys, baby things, gardening, dishes, vinyl records, furniture, household items and more. At 661 Shippeetown Road, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
