The 7th Annual East Greenwich Restaurant Week starts Friday, Sept. 22, but you can get a head start while supporting a good cause at Savor EG, a tasting event presented by the EG Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, Sept. 21, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the East Greenwich Yacht Club.
Savor EG will feature food from Feast Sandwich Co., Finn’s Harborside, Fresco, Four Brothers Pizzaria & Restaurant, Jigger’s Diner, Providence Coal-Fired Pizza, RASA, Red Stripe, The Martucci Group (Besos, SafeHouse and The Trap), Tio Mateo’s/ Greenwich Bay Gourmet, Twisted Pizza, Clementine’s Homemade Ice Cream, The Silver Spoon Bakery. There will be music from Alex Godiksen.
Proceeds will benefit Clothes to Kids, RI, a nonprofit that provides full wardrobes to school children at risk or in need. Guests are invited to bring a winter coat for a school-age child or new young men’s boxer briefs to help the effort and for a chance to win a door prize.
