Voter Information for Primary & General Election

by | Aug 20, 2018

The primary election is three weeks away, so we thought it was a good time to remind everyone of upcoming deadlines.

The first deadline is this week – if you would like to vote by mail in the Sept. 12 primary election, you must apply for a mail ballot by Wednesday, Aug. 22. To apply, contact Town Canvasser Elaine Vespia in the Town Clerk’s office at Town Hall, [email protected] or 401-886-8603.

While it is too late to register to vote in the primary, it’s not for the Nov. 6 general election. The deadline to register to vote in the general election is Oct. 7.

And, if you want to learn more about the candidates, put these dates on your calendar:

  1. Monday, Oct 1. – State House Candidates Forum
  2. Monday, Oct. 15 – School Committee* and Town Council Candidates Forums

Also, check out the Engaged East Greenwich Facebook page for questionnaires answered by candidates.
