Audrey Bartolomeo’s last day working for the Town of East Greenwich was March 1, and the Town Council recognized her for her service at its meeting March 11 (see the video, below).
Bartolomeo came to work for the Town of East Greenwich first for parks and recreation, after a stint at Blossom Florist (remember

Audrey Bartolomeo and her Christmas cactus.
Blossom? Bags By Iris occupies that space now). Seven years later, she moved over to public works, where her title was “building department clerk.” That meant talking to lots (lots!) of contractors, and processing plumbing, electrical and building permits.
Of course, when you answer phones at public works, you get a lot of questions about the transfer station and trash pickup. That was fine by Bartolomeo.
“I like helping people, being a resource to solve people’s problems,” she said last month.
Now that she’s left public works, Bartolomeo will be hard at work at her real passion: working with dogs, helping to train them. You can find her business, Top Dog K-9 Training, on Facebook.
Good luck, Audrey. We’ll miss you!
Congratulations Audrey ! Enjoy your next chapter !
