Wednesday, June 4

Cove Commission meeting: The panel meets in the conference room across from Council Chambers at Town Hall. You’ll find the agenda here. 4:30 p.m.

Girls Softball playoffs: EGHS takes on St. Raphael today at Rhode Island College. 5 p.m.

Boys Volleyball state championship: The Avengers face Tolman High School in the Division II state final at Providence Career & Technical School. 5:30 p.m.

Planning Board meeting: The panel will be voting on the town’s Community Development Block Grant application. The full agenda is here. Council Chambers, Town Hall. 7 p.m.

EG Democratic Town Committee meeting: The EGDTC meets in the Community Room at the EG Police Department. They will be considering endorsements for lieutenant governor, treasurer and secretary of state. Current Sec. of State Ralph Mollis and Treasurer Frank Caprio are attending. All are welcome. 7 p.m.

Friday, June 6

Goddard Park Farmers Market: The farmers market at Goddard Park is open for the season (through Halloween). Here’s more information about the market and vendors. Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Ivy Day: A tradition at East Greenwich High School where the seniors get one last school assembly. Lots of picturesque pomp and circumstance, minus the tassels. For the rest of the student body, it’s a short school day.

Teen Center: The gymnasium at Eldredge Elementary is open most every Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. for teenagers looking to shoot some hoops or some bull. All are welcome. To learn more, check out the F.A.C.E.S. website here.
