Tuesday, Feb. 3

1-Hour School Delay: After a day off, students will return to school on Tuesday, but with a one-hour delay.

Community & Senior Center Advisory Committee meeting: This is an ad hoc group that meets monthly. Here’s the agenda. At Swift Community Center at 1 p.m.

New England Institute of Technology Open House: “Tech Nite” follows an open house format allowing individuals interested in studying at the college the opportunity to tour any of its three campuses as well as to speak with faculty, Admissions, and Financial Aid personnel. Historic Cemetery Commission meeting: The panel meets in Conference Room B at Town Hall at 6 p.m. Find the agenda here.

School Committee meeting: The panel will combine their regular session with a budget workshop on the six schools and the special education budget (i.e. seriously long meeting). Here’s the agenda.

Wednesday, Feb. 4

Lunch on the Hill: Every Wednesday in the dining room at St. Luke’s, 99 Peirce St., lunch is served for all in need, from 11:15 to 12:15. In addition to St. Luke’s, Our Lady of Mercy, Christ Church and Westminister Unitarian churches have all taken on a Wednesday to serve the meal and local restaurants Jiggers, Wild Harvest, Crosby’s Cafe, and T’s take turns providing the food. School Building Oversight Committee meeting: The panel will hear updates on air conditioning at Cole Middle School and retrofits for Meadowbrook and Frenchtown to accommodate full-day kindergarten. Here’s the agenda. In the superintendent’s conference room at 7:30 a.m.

Pizza Night for EGAfterProm: Mention AfterProm and your dine-in or take-out pizza at PieZoni’s, 1000 Division St., to benefit EGAfterProm. From 2:30 to 9 p.m.

Cove Commission meeting: The panel meets in the conference room across from Council Chambers at Town Hall. Find the agenda here. 4:30 p.m.

Planning Board meeting: On the agenda, a pre-application hearing with St. Elizabeth Home for an expansion. 7 p.m.

Thursday, Feb. 5

EG AfterProm Planning Committee meeting: The group is meeting in the EG Police Department Community Room at 10 a.m. Newcomers welcome.

EG AfterProm Decorations Committee meeting: They will meet in at the high school. From 5 to 6 p.m. Newcomers welcome.

College Planning Night: High school parents are invited to EGHS’s yearly College Planning Night in the auditorium where there will be a presentation by a college admissions officer. 6:30 in the auditorium.

School Committee budget workshop: The workshop will cover athletics, technology and administration budgets. In the library at Cole Middle School (2nd floor), at 7 p.m.
