Friday, June 20

Goddard Park Farmers Market: The farmers market at Goddard Park is open for the season (through Halloween). Here’s more information about the market and vendors. Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

EGSD Health & Wellness Subcommittee meeting: The panel meets at the school department – here’s the agenda. 111 Peirce St. 4:15 p.m.

Teen Center: The gymnasium at Eldredge Elementary is open most every Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. for teenagers looking to shoot some hoops or some bull. All are welcome. To learn more, check out the F.A.C.E.S. website here.

Saturday, June 21

Historic Cemetery Cleanups: If you are interested in participating, meet at Chef-a-Roni on South County Trail at 9 a.m. left side. The other two cemeteries they,, are going to try to target is one on Meadowbrook Road (in back of Happy Hearts Learning Center/Across from Dunkin Donuts on South County Trail) and the one on South County Trail, diagonal from the Park and Ride right before the North Kingstown line. Sharing Locker: Thenon-food Sharing Locker takes place the third Saturday of the month and helps people meet basic needs not provided through food stamps/SNAP. Items include cleaners, detergent, personal hygiene products and dry pet food. At the Westminster Church House, 119 Kenyon Ave.10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Historic Stroll: Local historian Bruce MacGunnigle leads a walking tour of Peirce and Main streets, talking about the history of the area. To register, call the library’s reference desk (401-884-9510, ext. 3). Sponsored by the Friends of the EG Free Library and the Main Street Association. Meet at the library at 1 p.m. (no guarantee you can join the stroll if you haven’t preregistered).

Sunday, June 22

EG Animal Protection League open house: Every Sunday, the EGAPL opens its doors so people can meet the dogs and cats in need of permanent homes. You can find videos of some of the animals available for adoption here. At a NEW LOCATION: EG Animal Hospital, 4302 Post Road. 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Kids Chess Club: Symposium Books hosts a Chess Club for children ages 7 to 14 every Sunday, taught by chess master Joe Martin. The first session is free. 1000 Division Street (near Panera). 1 p.m.

Hi Elizabeth–there is a 3 day Festival at St. Francie de Sales Parish on Schoold Street in NK, Starts today and goes through Sundeay–Rides, food ,games. entertainlment!!
