Friday, Aug. 22

Goddard Park Farmers Market: Among the vendors at the Goddard Park market, several farmers, bakers (both for humans and dogs!), crafts, fish and poultry. Fridays through Oct. 31. 375 Ives Road. From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Barton Corner Bridge update: According to the state Department of Transporation, the Barton Corner Bridge replacement plan is trending ahead of schedule. The replacement of the northbound bridge span, originally scheduled for today at noon, was rescheduled to take place Thursday night into Friday early morning. Route 2, between Division Street to just south of James P. Murphy Industrial Highway, will be closed from 9 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday. Learn more here.

Saturday, Aug. 23

East Greenwich Arts Festival: The 4th Annual EG Arts Festival takes place Saturday and Sunday at New England Tech. More than 150 contemporary Amarican arts and crafts artists will be displaying their work, along with strolling entertainment including Rhode Island’s Big Nazo puppets. There will be a childrens art area too. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

David-Max Parking Lot Sale: David-Max is holding a parking lot sale Saturday, with furniture, home decor, accessories and more on sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Moosehorn Yard Sale: A gigantic yard sale at 340 Moosehorn Road, with furniture, toys, children’s items, sporting goods, household items, Halloween decor and more. 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Sunday, Aug. 24

Route 2 closed: The state Department of Transportation is moving a new Route 95 bridge (known as the Barton Corner Bridge) into place and will be closing Route 2 between Division Street and East Greenwich Avenue from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

EG Animal Protection League open house: Every Sunday, the EGAPL opens its doors so people can meet the dogs and cats in need of permanent homes. You can find videos of some of the animals available for adoption here. EG Animal Hospital, 4302 Post Road, Cowesett. 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Author Matt Keefer @ Symposium: Poet and short story writer Matt Keefer, author of The Keeper of Dreams, will be at Symposium Books, 1000 Division St., at 3 p.m.

The third Saturday of the month was last Saturday and he sharing locker was last weekend (unless they are doing another one tomorrow)
