Santa paid a visit to Jigger’s Sunday, to the delight of Nicholas Gallogly of Middletown and his aunt, Katie Lowell, of Coventry.

Monday, Dec. 22

‘Avenger Madness’ Basketball Fundraiser: The EG Boys Basketball team is hosting “Avenger Madness” to raise money for the program. The event starts around 5:45 with an EGBA youth game, followed by Cole versus JV basketball game. Then the main event is Varsity versus Alumni at 7. Tickets cost $5.

‘Songs of Christmas’ concert: The concert, free to the community, is a mix of sacred and secular music performed by the students of Phoebe Madden and accompanied by Philip Martorella.  At the First Evangelical Lutheran Church on 118 Division St., at 7pm.

Wednesday, Dec. 24

Lunch on the Hill: Every Wednesday in the dining room at St. Luke’s, 99 Peirce St., lunch is served for all in need, from 11:15 to 12:15. In addition to St. Luke’s, Our Lady of Mercy, Christ Church and Westminister Unitarian churches have all taken on a Wednesday to serve the meal and local restaurants Jiggers, Wild Harvest, Crosby’s Cafe, and T’s take turns providing the food.
