<b>Tuesday, Oct. 14</b>

<b>Public forum on all-day kindergarten:</b> This is a forum to garner feedback from parents and the community regarding adding all day kindergarten at East Greenwich Public Schools. All are invited. In the library (2nd floor) at Cole Middle School. 6 p.m.

<b>Halloween costume drive:</b> The All Children Matter club at EGHS is holding a used Halloween costume drive, together with DCYF and Foster Foward. Bring your gently used costumes to the high school front entrance through Oct. 13. They are also collecting pajamas, coats and other winter items through Dec. 5. <b>Looking for questions for candidates: </b>EG News is presenting two candidates forums, for Town Council and School Committee members on Thursday, Oct. 16 (council candidates at 6 and school candidates at 7:30 p.m.) and on Monday, Oct. 20 at 6 p.m. for the two candidates for state Sen. Dist. 35 – Republican Mark Gee and Democrat James Callaghan. Both events take place at New England Tech and are sponsored by the EG Chamber of Commerce. <b>Register for next historic cemetery cleanup: </b>The EG Historic Cemetery Commission has just come off the heels of a successful September cleanup, grateful to over 60 volunteers. <b>‘Waking the Marrow’ author at Symposium:</b> Heather Rigney, author of “Waking the Merrow” will be at Symposium Books, 1000 Division St., at 6 p.m. Rigney’s book explores the history of mermaids (or “merrow”) in Rhode Island.

<b>Town Council &amp; School Committee candidates forum:</b> EG News is presenting a candidates forum in two parts, for Town Council candidates at 6 p.m. and School Committee at 7:30 p.m. At New England Tech, off Division Road.
