Monday, Dec. 8

All-Day Kindergarten Public Forum: The second of two public forums on the possibility of bringing all-day kindergarten to East Greenwich takes place tonight in the library at Cole Middle School. 6 p.m.

Town Council meeting: On the agenda, the panel will review liquor license applications and continue its overview of town departments for new members. They meet in Council Chambers at Town Hall at 6 for board and commission interviews. The public meeting starts at 7 p.m.

Tuesday, Dec. 9

Greenwich Bay Women’s Club Holiday meeting (newcomers welcome!): It’s time for GBWC’s annual Yankee Swap, where members take a break to enjoy their annual holiday swap along with the good food and great friends (old and new) that are part of it. This nonprofit service organization, founded in 1964, welcomes women of all ages to join together to make a difference in our local communities – and have a great time doing it. Newcomers are welcome and the December meeting is a perfect time to meet members and see if you’d like to join us. There are no age or residency requirements to join and meetings are held once a month in the evening.

Open Auditions for OSTeenCo: Ocean State Theatre Company is looking for 7 to 12 performers (male and female) between the ages of 14 and 19 years old. Wednesday, Dec. 10

Lunch on the Hill: Every Wednesday in the dining room at St. Luke’s, 99 Peirce St., lunch is served for all in need, from 11:15 to 12:15. In addition to St. Luke’s, Our Lady of Mercy, Christ Church and Westminister Unitarian churches have all taken on a Wednesday to serve the meal and local restaurants Jiggers, Wild Harvest, Crosby’s Cafe, and T’s take turns providing the food. Friday, Dec. 12

Cherish the Ladies at the Odeum: The internationally known Cherish the Ladies returns to the Greenwich Odeum with their Christmas show. Get into the season with Celtic music, dancing and singing. Tickets are $35 (first six rows) or $25 and you can get them online here, or at Main Street Music, 4 King St.

Saturday, Dec. 13

Zumba for a cause: Come to Zumba in the upstairs gym at EGHS and the full fee ($8 in advance, $10 at the door) will be donated to the student trip to Europe in April. 9 to 10 a.m.

Bubbleology at Ocean State Theatre: Keith Michael Johnson is back with his popular show, Bubbleology, at Ocean State Theatre, 1245 Jefferson Blvd., Warwick, as part of its Family Fun Fest. The show starts at 11 a.m. Tickets are $10.

Jersey Boys at the Odeum: A tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Season, the Jersey Boys return to the Odeum with their popular show. The warmup act is local – the St. Celicia Choir from St. Luke’s, a children’s choir that will perform Christmas carols and holiday favorites. Tickets are $30 and you can get them online here, or at Main Street Music, 4 King St.
