Housing Authority meeting: On the agenda is an update on the 2880 South County Trail housing project.
Town Council meeting: Among the items on the agenda, a second hearing of a request to open the restaurant Havana in the spot of the former Rok Bar & Grill. The men looking to open Havana are also seeking a license for amplified music, which neighbors are against. The neighbors were to meet with the two potential owners at a meeting Sunday. Also on the agenda is a vote on the 2015 budget.
Lobster Roll Sale: The Westminster Unitarian Church’s annual rite of spring – the lobster roll sale – is going on now. Lobster Roll Day is Friday, May 16, but you have to order by Tuesday, May 13. Each roll is $9.50 and includes a bag of potato chips. To order or get more information, check out the WU website here.

EGHS Sailing Team fundraiser: The high school’s sailing team does not receive funding from the school department so it relies on fundraising to help cover costs. You can help – come to Nautika Tuesday night. Pay $20 at the door and receive a coupon that entitles you to a beer or wine of the restaurant’s choice and Appetizers will be served. 28 Water St., from 4 to 6 p.m.
School Committee: A Strategic Planning Workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, May 13th at 5:45p.m. in the Cole library. All are welcome to attend. See the attached agenda.

Goddard Park Farmers Market: The farmers market at Goddard Park is open for the season (through Halloween). Here’s more information about the market and vendors. Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Brown Bag Concert: The first of the East Greenwich Parks & Recreation Department lunchtime concerts features Branded, a country music band, takes place Friday on the lawn in front of Town Hall. This monthly concert series will feature a different performer for shoppers, visitors, business persons, and anyone else who wishes to come out and explore the downtown happenings along with some music while enjoying their lunch. Tables and chairs will be set up on the lawn so grab a sandwich from a local restaurant or deli or bring along a bag lunch. Future concerts will feature Innovations on June 13, Johnny Edwards Power of Soul on July 11, and (taking a break in August) In Tandem on Sept. 12, and the Caraher Brothers Oct. 10., From noon to 1:30 p.m. on the lawn at Town Hall. EGHS Prom: Have fun and be safe!
Teen Center: The gymnasium at Eldredge Elementary is open most every Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. for teenagers looking to shoot some hoops or some bull. All are welcome. To learn more, check out the F.A.C.E.S. website here.

EG Boy Scout Troop 1 Yard Sale: The sale will take place at the American Legion Hall on Post Road. If you have something valuable to contribute to the sale, drop it off between 6:30 and 8 a.m., or contact Liza Ward at 578-1706. Tax deduction forms for donations are available. From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. rain or shine.
Sharing Locker: Sharing Locker: A monthly non-food pantry to help people meet basic needs not provided through food stamps/SNAP. Items include cleaners, detergent, personal hygiene products and dry pet food. At the Westminster Church House, 119 Kenyon Ave., every third Saturday of the month. 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

EG Animal Protection League open house: Every Sunday, the EGAPL opens its doors so people can meet the dogs and cats in need of permanent homes. You can find videos of some of the animals available for adoption here. At a NEW LOCATION: EG Animal Hospital, 4302 Post Road. 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
