Special Parenting Workshop Starts March 19

by | Mar 11, 2019

East Greenwich resident Patty Carosotto will lead a nine-week course on “Conscious Parenting” that begins March 19. The free course is presented by The Autism Project of RI. Registration is required and space is limited.

The program will teach the skills needed to manage life tasks such as learning, forming relationships, communicating effectively and being sensitive to the needs of others. With these skills, according to Carosotto, parents will change their attitudes toward their children and learn strategies to create safe and connected families.

While all parents are welcome, the focus will be on those with children ages birth to age 12. The course will be held in the EGPD Community Room, 175 First Ave., from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

To register, send an email to Patty at [email protected] and include your name, phone number and the ages of your children. This is an adults-only workshop; there will be no child care provided.

“’Conscious Discipline’ will improve both your life and the lives of your children,” Carosotto said.
