Theresa M.Grenier, 88, of East Greenwich, passed away Nov. 8, after a brief illness. Theresa was born on Aug. 15, 1926. in Fitchburg, Mass., to Marguerite and Phillip Demers. She graduated from St. Bernard’s High School in Fitchburg in 1944.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed.Theresa was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Norman A. Grenier, and even after his death in 1978, her love for him never wavered. She is survived by her loving children: Michael F. (Carol Ann); Norma Jean Juel (Craig); Stephen H. (Sharon); Claudia Cordisco (Michael); Renee Allen (“Chip”) and her sister Janet Demers Mustard. Theresa was the proud grandmother to her 9 grandchildren: Nicole, Michael (Lacey), Corey, Garrett, Shelby, Alex, Jillian, Connor and Casey.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Nov. 14, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third St., East Greenwich, followed by burial at Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Friends may visit with Theresa’s family from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13, at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main Street, East Greenwich.
