National Grid to Interrupt Service Downtown Wednesday Night

National GridParts of King, Queen and Water streets in downtown East Greenwich will lose power for about five hours on Wednesday, March 18, in a planned improvement schedule, National Grid said in a letter to customers dated March 10.

The letter read, in part:

“To make improvements to our electrical distribution system, we will be working in your neighborhood on Wednesday, March 18, beginning at 11:30 p.m. until approximately 4:30 a.m. For our crews to work on our equipment safely, it will be necessary to interrupt your electrical service for approximately five hours. We regret the temporary inconvenience. . . . Should you have any additional questions, please contact Customer Service at (800) 322-3223.”
