The Main Street Association of East Greenwich is pleased to announce that they are part of a select number of organizations selected to receive a 2015 Earth Day Grant. The $250 grant, awarded by the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management, will be used toward the MSA’s Earth Day cleanup of Scalloptown Park on April 25. The event, which will run from 9 .m. to noon, will clean up Scalloptown Park and the surrounding waterfront.
The event is open to all members of the community, although parental discretion is advised for younger children. If you would like to volunteer or have any questions please contact us at [email protected].

The EG Historic Cemetery Commission was also awarded a grant to clean up the Tillinghast cemetery #18. Volunteers are encouraged to help from 9-12 AM on Sat. April 18. We will meet behind Absolute Fitness on Rt. 2 just passed Briarbrook Farms @ 9 AM. Get out and learn our local history!
