Lorena’s paintings have gained acclaim and awards nationally and internationally for both her technique and ability to express the essence of her subject. Known initially for her paintings of animals, she is currently considered a top American contemporary realist. Lorena is working with both still life and landscape in and around her Rhode Island studio. Her paintings and posters are in thousands of private collections across the world. She will also be providing instruction and guidance for painting with gouache, a type of painting consisting of natural pigment, water, a binding agent and sometimes additional inert material.
