Branches from a large tree at 102 Sylvan Drive fell onto the road Tuesday afternoon, bringing down the power line.
Heavy winds brought down a large tree limb at 102 Sylvan Drive Tuesday afternoon just after 3 p.m., taking a power line down with it and causing a power outage to 66 area customers, according to National Grid.
A tree crew on scene got the ok to remove the tree limb at around 6 p.m.
Heavy winds and rain pelted the area throughout Tuesday but the Sylvan Drive neighborhood (which is between First and Cedar avenues) was the only area of East Greenwich reporting a power outage. The rain was due to move out of the area Tuesday night, with cooler temperatures moving in.
