With selections representing a wide variety of musical styles including popular patriotic selections to classical favorites, Crosswinds will surely delight the entire audience. The concert will be held at the Varnum Armory, 6 Main Street, East Greenwich. Admission to the concert is free and open to all ages. Immediately following the concert, the Varnum Armory will be turned into a bakery of sorts as a wide variety of cookies will be available for purchase. The cookies will be baked by various restaurants and establishments throughout Main Street and East Greenwich. Participants can make a selection at the Armory until 5:30 pm or the last cookie crumbles. A cash donation is appreciated and all proceeds will go to Cookies for Kids Cancer to aid in the research and development of non-toxic treatment options for childhood cancers.
In addition to the cookies at the Armory, beginning Thursday, December 11 through Saturday, December 13, participating sites on Main Street will create a specialty holiday themed beverage and/or dessert with a portion of the proceeds being added to the Cookies for Kids fundraising effort.
