Project UNIFY Plunge: The original plunge was to take place Feb. 28 at Goddard Park. The persistent snow and cold fouled those options. The plunge – featuring members of both the Cole Middle School and EGHS Unified sports teams – will finally take place today at Salty Brine State Beach at 1 p.m. Learn more here.

High School Musical Jr. @ Hanaford: Lots of kids are participating in Hanaford’s spring musical extravaganza, High School Musical Jr.! Friday 7 p.m. and Saturday 4 p.m. at East Greenwich High School. Tickets are $10 at the door.

EG Animal Protection League open house: Every Sunday, the EGAPL opens its doors so people can meet the dogs and cats in need of permanent homes. You can find videos of some of the animals available for adoption here. EG Animal Hospital, 4302 Post Road, Cowesett. 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
