Teen Center: Sponsored by the Town of East Greenwich and the Town Substance Abuse Program, the Teen Center is a weekly drop-in location for teens to gather and “hang out” with other teens. At the gymnasium at Eldredge Elementary. For more information, contact Bob Houghtaling at 401-230-2246.

‘Beauty & the Beast Jr.’: Students (lots of students!) are performing in “Beauty and the Beast Jr.” at Eldredge Elementary tonight at 6:30 and Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Tickets, $5, are available at the door.

Beauty & the Beast Saturday, March 28

Pound the Pavement, Pound a Nail 5K: The University of Rhode Island is hosting the “Pound the Pavement, Pound a Nail 5K: Run/Walk/Mosey” to benefit South County Habitat for Humanity. The first 500 participants will receive a race t-shirt. This is a USTFA Certified 5K that weaves throughout the scenic URI campus. All are welcome. Find out more here.

Through the Doors @ the Odeum: Through the Doors is a multi-media tribute to Jim Morrison and The Doors. The band recreates the sound, look and feel of an actual Doors concert. You can buy tickets here.

EG Animal Protection League open house: Every Sunday, the EGAPL opens its doors so people can meet the dogs and cats in need of permanent homes. You can find videos of some of the animals available for adoption here. EG Animal Hospital, 4302 Post Road, Cowesett. 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
