Friday, April 18

Teen Center: The gymnasium at Eldredge Elementary is open most every Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. for teenagers looking to shoot some hoops or some bull. All are welcome. To learn more, check out the F.A.C.E.S. website here.

Improv at Warwick Museum: Bring Your Own Improv (BYOI), now in its seventh season, is a weekly interactive improv show that welcomes audience participation. The audience can participate in one of three ways: Applaud at a scene you like, yell out fantastic suggestions, or jump up and join the performers on stage. They offer two shows: one for families at 7 p.m. and one for adults at 9 p.m. Warwick Museum of Art, 3259 Post Road, Warwick. $7, $3 for seniors and children 12 and under (at the early show).

Saturday, April 19

EG Historic Preservation Society Easter Egg Hunt: Just inside the second entrance to Goddard Park, the EGHPS is holding its annual Easter Egg Hunt. Containers will be provided. For children age 7 and younger. No dogs please. Learn more about the EGHPS here. From 10:30 to noon.

Scott Carlson Memorial 5K Run/Walk: This race is special, as it honors the memory of Scott Carlson and all those who have ALS, a truly tough diagnosis. It takes place at Goddard Park, but you can register online here. If you’d rather wait, registration starts at 8:30 a.m. The fun run takes place at 9:15 and the main event steps off at 10. IMPORTANT notice: no baby joggers, strollers, pets or headsets are allowed.

Sharing Locker: A monthly non-food pantry to help people meet basic needs not provided through food stamps/SNAP. Items include cleaners, detergent, personal hygiene products and dry pet food. At the Westminster Church House, 119 Kenyon Ave., every third Saturday of the month. 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

EG Animal Protection League Open House: The league is holding its weekly open house on Saturday this weekend, at their NEW home, EG Animal Hospital, Post Road. From noon to 2 p.m.

Sunday, April 20

Easter sunrise service: An ecumenical Easter sunrise service will be held at Sandy Point, at the end of Ives Road in Potowomut, at 6 a.m.
