EG News Needs … People With Something to Say!

by | Jan 22, 2015

I’m often asked, how’s it going with East Greenwich News? Invariably, I tell them it’s going well, but that it’s – well – a lot. This is a startup and it’s not always pretty! If EG News is going to survive and thrive, I need more help. This week’s series, “EG News Needs … “ outlines the various areas EG News could use the help.

1.158840Are you someone who has … strong opinions? Do you find yourself commenting on the ridiculousness or fabulousness of something in the newspaper, on TV, or the computer? Do you notice things around town that make you wonder, curse, or rejoice?

If so, maybe it’s time to go public!

EG News is looking for someone not afraid to comment about what’s happening here in East Greenwich and in Rhode Island. We’re looking for someone with a point of view to write a column that could run weekly, monthly or somewhere in between.

Or perhaps you love the arts. EG News could really use someone dedicated to writing about all the great cultural things going on both in EG and around the state.

Here’s another idea: does anyone out there want to write about the vibrant dining scene we have here in town – either as a reviewer or in a “what’s new,” sort of column?

What I’m trying to say is, EG News could use some other community voices, and I know there are people out there who would do a great job. The perks are great – fame and, if not fortune, maybe a t-shirt or coffee mug.

If you have something you’d like to write about, please send me an email: [email protected].
