I’m often asked, how’s it going with East Greenwich News? Invariably, I tell them it’s going well, but that it’s a lot of work. This is a startup and it’s not always pretty! That’s not to say I haven’t had some great help already. I am indebted to Bil Herron for his technical assistance, Alan Clarke for his help creating ads, and Deb Acheson for the terrific logo.
But if EG News is going to survive and thrive, I need more help. This week’s series, “EG News Needs …” outlines the various areas EG News could use help. We start with advertising.
People like EG News – that’s obvious from the number of people reading both the newsletter and the website every day. (What? You didn’t know there was an email newsletter? No worries – you can sign up here.) In 10 short months, EG News has become a community hub, a trusted outlet for all kinds of news about East Greenwich.
That sort of dedicated audience is just what advertisers want. Some advertisers have come to us, and I’ve managed to snag a few advertisers myself but there’s a lot of room for improvement. We have the space, both on the website and in the daily newsletter.
