Monday, March 2

More snow! The start of school was delayed one hour and there is a parking ban in place until later notice. If you haven’t signed up for the town’s emergency notification system, click here.

Town Council work session: The panel will discuss ideas, goals and strategies for the next two years. Find the full agenda here. 7 p.m.

Donations sought for Carrie Mac Memorial Garden: The Carrie Mac Memorial Garden donations are still being accepted.  Organizers said they are getting close to their goal but are looking for a few more donations to put them over the top. You can read more about the effort here. If you would like to donate, please stop by the Guidance Office & see Barb or Sherry or mail your donation to the East Greenwich High School, 300 Avenger Drive, East Greenwich, RI  02818  ATTN: Guidance Department, Sherry or Barb.

EGSD Mental Health Subcommittee meeting: The panel meets in the EGHS Guidance Conference Room. Here’s the agenda. 10 a.m.

Historic Cemetery Commission meeting: The panel meets at Town Hall, Conference Room B. Find the agenda here. 6 p.m.

School Committee Budget Hearing: If you have strong feelings about the EGSD meeting, now’s your chance. In the Cole Library. 7 p.m.

Wednesday, March 4

R-Word Day @ EGHS & Cole: The campaign is to end the use of “retarded” as an insult. Find out more here.

Parent Camp at EGHS: An evening of hands-on learning for EGHS parents and guardians includes an opportunity for parents to weigh in on the EGHS mission statement as well as three 40-minute learning sessions, on Chromebooks, productivity with Google Applications, Twitter as a learning tool and getting beyond one-word answers when talking to your teen.
