The fall season is quickly approaching which means shorter days, kids back to school and cemetery cleanups. Cemetery cleanups? Yes! Autumn is a terrific time to rehabilitate East Greenwich historical cemeteries and the East Greenwich Historical Cemetery Advisory Commission invites the community to join us in this endeavor.
The newly formed East Greenwich Historical Cemetery Advisory Commission is rolling out a Fall Cleanup Campaign with four dates to choose from, all on a Saturday, from 9 a.m. to noon: Sept. 27, Oct. 18, Nov. 15 and Dec. 6.
No specialized skills are required as the commission will provide the necessary training. In addition, the commission will provide documentation of community service hours performed upon request.
If you would like to sign up to help or learn more about these historical cemetery cleanups please contact [email protected].
