East Greenwich (Boards & Commissions) Need You!

by | Nov 17, 2014

You want to contribute to East Greenwich but you didn’t run for office because that just wasn’t your style. Not to worry! There are several boards and commissions looking for smart, talented people just like you.

As Town Clerk Leigh Botello wrote, “In an effort to ensure local government is for the people and by the people, the Town of East Greenwich seeks residents who are registered voters to serve on various boards and commissions. Town boards and commissions generally meet once or twice a month and serve the Town in many different respects. The following boards and commissions currently have vacancies:

Affordable Housing Commission

Board of Assessment Review

Cove Management Commission

Historic District Commission

Housing Authority

Juvenile Hearing Board

Zoning Board of Review

Wow! With all those panels, I’ll bet there’s at least one you could imagine yourself on. If so, you can get an application at the Town Clerk’s Office, 125 Main St., or online at www.eastgreenwichri.com. Return completed applications and resumés to the Town Clerk’s office, P.O. Box 111, E.G., RI 02818, or via email to [email protected].
