The Woonsocket Villa Novans handed the East Greenwich Avengers their first defeat of the season, 44-13, Saturday at Barry Field. Woonsocket outscored EG, 32-0 in the second half. The Avengers play Lincoln at Carcieri Field on Friday, Oct. 5. at 7 p.m.
