Truth be told, East Greenwich comes up a bit empty on the 4th of July happenings, but there are events nearby – after all, nothing’s very far in Rhode Island. And fireworks on Narragansett Bay can be seen from East Greenwich, Potowomut, and Cowesett, in certain spots – the Division Street right of way (at Water Street), Chepiwanoxet Point (off Post Road; bring a flashlight and bug spray) in Cowesett, and Sandy Point (at the end of Ives Road). Hurricane Arthur has messed with the fireworks schedules – changes noted here.
