Every year, proceeds from the Turkey Trot go toward a local organization and this year’s fun run/5K primary beneficiary will be the Greenwich Odeum, the Main Street Association announced.

“We are excited to be able to offer a portion of this year’s race proceeds to the Odeum to help in the revival effort of such an awesome venue in our continued effort to help Main Street,” said Main Street Association Board Members and race organizers Amy Moore and Michelle Clark in a press release. “The Odeum is such a beautiful and historic venue and we can’t wait to see it thrive!”

The fourth annual running of the Hill and Harbour Turkey Trot will take place Saturday, Nov. 29. The fully sanctioned and certified 5K race course winds through downtown neighborhoods and by the water. In addition to the 5K race, the festivities include a 1 Mile Fun Run, crafts, and music.

The Odeum, a nonprofit theater on Main Street, reopened 18 months ago after several years of darkness. You can read more about it here.
