Five people were sent to area hospitals after two cars were involved in a crash just after midnight Friday. As of Sunday afternoon, one person remains in critical condition at Rhode Island Hospital.
Police have not yet released a full accident report but Chief Brown said the accident took place on Frenchtown Road east of Route 4. He said state police are assisting in the accident reconstruction and the state Attorney General’s office is assisting with the investigation.
The woman in critical condition is Patricia (Patty) Daniels, EGHS Class of 1991, a familiar face to many in East Greenwich and currently a bartender at End Zone Pub & Grille on Post Road. Bruce Bartels, also in that car, was upgraded to stable condition Sunday afternoon.
The condition of the others sent to the hospital was not known Sunday.
What about the driver of the other car.? Why haven’t they been identified??😡😡
Please update on Patty Daniels
We will as soon as we have more information. Hoping later today.
