Town Councilor Nino Granatiero said Wednesday the Town Council met for 2 and a half hours Tuesday evening to discuss “all final candidates” for the job of town manager but that they needed more time to deliberate before calling for a vote. The panel met in closed session.

“Great discussion last night and making progress but not ready to set a date [to vote] yet,” he said via text.

He said he anticipated they would need to meet again – possibly more than once. “Being very thorough and thoughtful,” he said.

Councilors have not said how many people are in the running for the job or whether or not current Town Manager Gayle Corrigan is among them.

Corrigan has a contract through June 30. The original intent had been to bring someone on before that for a smooth transition. The Town Council has a regular session on Monday, June 4.
