7:20 p.m. – Police arrested Nathan Jones, 19, of Warwick, on felony charges of assault with a dangerous weapon (a car) and failing to stop after an accident, as well as with disorderly conduct and driving on suspended license after he allegedly hit a car on purpose and fled the scene. The driver of the car that was hit told police the other driver started following him after he inadvertently cut him off. The first driver stopped in the Eldredge Elementary School parking lot on Friendship Street hoping to de-escalate the situation. The driver of the second car, Jones,  allegedly then drove his car into the side of the first car and started yelling at the first driver. Jones then drove off, according to the report, but Warwick Police tracked him to his house where he was arrested and taken into custody.
