EGHS Civic Action Hosts Their Own Candidates Night Oct. 24.

The Town Council and School Committee Candidates Forum set for Monday, Oct. 15, has been moved to the auditorium at East Greenwich High School to accommodate a larger audience.

The School Committee candidates will go first, at 6 p.m., followed by candidates for Town Council at 7:15 p.m.

Residents are invited to submit questions for both forums but the deadline for questions is Thursday, Oct. 11. Submit them to [email protected].

The event is presented by East Greenwich Chamber of Commerce and East Greenwich News, with sponsorship help from the EG Rotary Club. The forum will be moderated by RIPR’s Chuck Hinman, an EG resident. The event will be livestreamed on the EG News Facebook page.

You have another opportunity to hear from the candidates, at a “Meet the Candidates” night presented by members of the EGHS Civic Action Club on Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., in the auditorium at St. Luke’s Church (99 Peirce St., across the parking lot from Swift Community Center). The evening will include the candidates’ position statements, questions from students, and some give and take.

For more information about Oct. 24, contact Abby White, president of EGHS Civic Action ([email protected]) or advisor Bob Houghtaling ([email protected]).
