Make a sustaining donation in February and your first month will be matched.
For the month of February, East Greenwich News is celebrating love – love of community and love of local news – and encouraging readers to show their love of local journalism by becoming sustaining donors so we can keep you informed about what’s going on in our small town.
To help this effort, a generous resident has agreed to match the first month of every sustaining donation up to $500.
What does that mean?
If you sign up to donate $10 a month as a sustainer, our donor will match that first $10 donation. The idea is to get 50 sustaining members at $10 a month. It doesn’t have to be $10 a month – give what you can afford. But give. Help East Greenwich News become a viable community website.
Throughout the month, we will be featuring East Greenwich love stories. We already have a few we want to tell, but if you have one you’d like to share, contact [email protected]. It doesn’t have to be a romantic love story (although we want those too!). It could be about a great friendship; the love of a child and their pet; the love for a restaurant or other business here in town; or the love of a park or other location in EG. There are lots of possibilities – it just has to be about love. Please send in your stories or ideas so that, even in the midst of challenging times for our town, we can enjoy a little love.
Click on the button below to donate. To those who have already donated or become sustainers – thank you!

Elizabeth,
I would like to contribute but when I clicked the link, it shut me out. Is there another way to contribute?
Thanks for all you do.
I’m not sure what happened with that link but I have reset it and it should work now. Here’s it is: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?token=EKozxDvB_rsOCfJ43bN54O1QzjzIS6GPg7HzZYptTx9a0AYFIcs3lU7FLdGOEm-C-FMN1m&country.x=US&locale.x=US
