Delicious ‘Taste of EG’ Stroll

by | Aug 26, 2018

Everything came together Thursday evening when hundreds and hundreds of people descended on Main Street for the “Taste of East Greenwich” stroll. The weather was perfect for strolling, restaurants were prepared for waves of eager tasters, and there was plenty of music to keep everyone entertained.

While some drivers may have been put out by the detour around Main Street, strollers enjoyed the wide open spaces allowed with cars eliminated from the equation.

The Main Street Strolls are sponsored by the East Greenwich Chamber of Commerce. Here are some pictures:

‘Feast’-ing on pickles.

Kai Bar’s tacos were popular!

Risotto from Besos.

Greenwich Bay Oyster Bar offered seafood treats.

La Masseria’s pasta has been a stroll mainstay for years.

This mime is a stroll favorite.

Magic!

Jigger’s offered johnny cakes, wraps and more.

Town Council President and candidate Sue Cienki.

Candidates Justine Caldwell (for House Dist. 30) and, right, Gene Quinn (for School Committee) talk with a resident.

The scene at Mainstreet Coffee was lively, as usual.

Station One was the place to be Thursday, with free hot dogs and popcorn.

As the sun was setting, Feast was hopping.
